For New Building Developments: Following RAJUK’s public awareness directive, all new buildings on plots measuring 5 katha or more are required to install a Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) in compliance with the latest building regulations, supporting cleaner water and a healthier environment.
Current Compliance Requirement: Buildings located in Gulshan, Banani, Baridhara, and Niketon must have a functional STP in operation. Failure to comply may result in legal action under the Bangladesh National Building Code (BNBC).
